Simple cabin sealing
Now that it is actually 'cold' in Texas, I've gotten some real use out of my heater and starting plugging the holes. Starting with the most major hole was where the rear cabin flap came down.
It wasn't even CLOSE to sitting flush and heat poured out of this opening. Wanting a simple solution that looked stock, I glued some high-strength rare earth magnets to a spare piece of flat bar I had. Made a small incision under the hole shown in the cabin flap and slid it in! It's doubled over at the bottom making a nice pocket. I used 44" of flat bar and 8 magnets. The two center hold down straps I just flipped around and clipped on to the cage so the magnets had a flat surface to stick against. End result is awesome and this took all of 30 mins of waiting for epoxy to set. Hope this helps a few folks stay warmer this winter!

I know you installed the diesel 5gal tank in another thread.
Interested how you have the heater installed (venting, exhaust, heating ducts, etc)

Yeah it's a modern Espar from Scott. For what it costs, it rocks. The only downside is that without building a perch for it to sit on, I won't even be able to take advantage of the factory fresh air intake in the side. I'm not too disappointed about this. Otherwise it fits great! I added a 90 degree hood to it and just have it blowing upwards. I will carry a small piece of hose to duct it in to the back for camping. From what I have seen, this heater is SUPER fuel efficient. It looks like it's used 0 diesel so far!

I'm happy to provide pictures of how mine is installed if interested. It was tricky and took a lot of very careful planning, especially with the fuel hose. the way it is now, I managed to route it without having to go over the exhaust or any hot parts, but I did run a long length of hose!

So I got out there and realized it's REALLY hard to see how I installed my heater. Showing the exhaust routing will give you the best idea. The fuel hose goes straight up from the tank, follows the regular gas hose to the engine, the wraps around the front of the engine (under the wind tunnel) to the fuel pump mounted right under where my seat belt mount is.
I was SUPER thankful to have my mounting plate. I attached the heater to the plate, attached all the hoses (which I never could have done with it mounted to the pinz) then lowered the plate on the hole and bolted down!
In the pictures included, there is a shot of my wheel well with one shiny bolt. That's the fuel pump mounting bolt.

There is a filter! It's right under the doghouse! Oddly enough they only recommend it if using 'contaminated' fuel....
