aux driving lights mount options

I bought these lights.

Now, I don't know where to mount them. I want to see what yinz have done to save me trial and error. I am going to use these as driving lights. I have aux jeep hood light mounts. 3 inch square pedestal. Also, where to tap power wires? I'm going to use a 24 volt relay.. Thanks, Brian

Post a picture of your Pinz, if you have a Brush guard
there's lots of Tube-to-Mount options available. With the
+ of no holes to drill.

Won't be posting many pics after this but, this is mounting for military spot lights. Long bolt through tube into drilled and tapped hole in bumper.
I would think the idea of mounting your square lights to just about anywhere that you have existing bolts or on the front bumper would work.
Some states have height requirements for lights that are used as driving lights. Rarely does anyone look too closely at lighting that could be thought of as military on a vehicle like these. Paint them OD.

It is just a stock Pinz. (I have to admit, and please don't take offense, but asking me to post a pic of my Pinz was kinda funny.) I like the round lights. They fit better. The square ones kind of match the angular lines of the truck. I like the mesh covers on the lights.

Yeah it is kind of funny, but you must realize that the people that have these vehicles can never get enough of seeing them. It is kind of like seeing a picture of some one's kids... they just have to look and if you have something that might just be a wee bit different it is going to be required viewing.
There is no offense...it just needs to be seen.
How it is mounted, how it is wired, what color it is...all of interest to the wonderful and varied pinz community.

Yea, your right. I.like looking, too. Even a base stock has something to catch your eye. Even if its to see what tires they are running. Or what little accents like seats or if OEM lamps in back to even condition of steering wheel. The ones that really depress me at the trucks that look like they came off of showroom floor with a nice insulated cover. (They look like overstuffed blankets.). I know mine will never look that good. But she brings plenty of smiles when we are out and neiborhood kids love to go for short rides on weekends in fields and woods nearby.

Some make elaborate modifications and additions with brush guards,
exoskeletons, and other creative additions -- thus the request for a PIX.
In your case looks like it's drill baby drill.

Hello, I got the lights mounted and working. I had removable mounts that I used to mount on bumper. I just can't get myself to drill into her until I'm Sure. I took out the mini spotlight plug next to flasher switch. I had an 8 amp breaker that fit loosely in the hole. I then plugged wire from the back of mini spotlight plug to new breaker and breaker to lamps and WaLoo..Push/pull switch operates floods. I had routed wire thru hole in tunnel that horn wire goes thru and then out of grate to lamps. Put all wires in plastic loom, and out of bottom of grill. I just had to put longer machine screws in bottom of grill so I wouldn't crush wire. Loom helps protect over edge of grill.

Since you haven't' drilled holes yet...

One possible option that I learned about just recently from Acebee is a light bar mounted at the top of the cab.
See PIX, ala Acebee 712, dono if this is a custom fab or a unique Pinz option. It's a real nice setup. The mounting
uses the existing M6 bolts located on the windshield frame (2 on each side) -- If you don't drop your windshield that is.
But then you would have two lonesome Lights begging for more Might be good for 2 spots + 2 floods.
There is also a grommeted hole on the drivers side just below the mirror, you could exit power into that to the dash.

Lights mounted up high are not always the best - can cause glare on the windshield (not much issue with a hood on a Pinz and the windshield is pretty verticle!)
It is best to mount high powered lights further back. All the J**P's and trucks with them mounted right above the windshield are more look than function (IMHO). My buddy's P/U truck is horrible and he even added a flat black vinyl patch to his hood - still glares off his front bar and the top of dash is nicely lit up

I would think above the windshield won't glare either if you mount it a bit forward?

I haven't experienced any noticeable glare with my 2 LED spots. Maybe because they aren't floods? I made my own bracket and used the existing bolts in the windshield frame as mentioned earlier.
