ideas for mounting hi lift jack to rear?

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

ideas for mounting hi lift jack to rear?

Post by audiocontr »

I have way too much weight upfront, and anything i can do to move weight to the rear of the 712 is appreciated. Do any of you have your hilift mounted to the rear? Can you show me how you mounted it?

Looks like Bruce's 710M,

I saw this tail gate in action, really solid (of course) and 4 Jerry cans to boot.
Although I think he was sporting 2 Jerry cans that day :?

Jan had a good mounting solution that put the bulk of the weight towards the rear and kept it out of sight too!
I think you could spin it and have it towards the rear roll bar vs the front one

Actually, the way mine is mounted, I believe most of the weight is still in front of the truck's midpoint... But you have plenty of room in your 712m to install something similar at the very back of the truck, as TechMOGogy suggested.
Between the hi-lift, locked storage against the bulkhead full with recovery stuff (including a pull-pal) and my front winch, my truck is front-heavy and starts to look like it...

Mine too. I still can't find anyone who has had front spring spacers deminsions to build a set to level mine out. When I get a set built, I will make a few extras.
