Since it is winter and the topic has sort of started in a classified ad, I wanted to move it to a new thread so we don't muddy up the for sale ad.
Link to for sale thread regarding blower motor: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10688
I was thinking of wrapping my duct work to insulate it and perhaps adding one of these inline blowers?
Keeps the truck stock but could draw more air through the system (not sure what the CFM of the stock setup is however!?!?)
Easy to wire and paint flat black or camo
This one is 24v and rated at 130CFM

Re: Heater...winters coming on quick
The Mog blower is rated at 250m^3 per hour, equivalent to 147 cfm (cubic feet per minute), just for comparison. You should also remember that the Pinz heat air is forced through the heat exchanger by the pressure of the air within the engine tin from the engine fan - it is not just sucked by the blower up front. This is why you can get some heat without turning on the fan. I guess my point is that I do not know if any additional fans in the ductwork will make much improvement. If you try it, let us know if it makes a big difference (or not).

That fan is about $20-25 so I will give it a go and report back (granted if this project goes like all my other to-do projects then I will report back next Fall!!)

FYI. I got 2 complete Eberspacher gas heaters in the purchase of my ambulance. I will be fitting my truck with one. the other may be up for grabs if I don't have to scavenge it for parts.
Both units seem near new.

Definitely interested in a complete heater if it turns out you are not going to need it for parts.Andre wrote:FYI. I got 2 complete Eberspacher gas heaters in the purchase of my ambulance. I will be fitting my truck with one. the other may be up for grabs if I don't have to scavenge it for parts.

Ditto if you decide to sell both. Who knows, you may need the extra funds to pay for a wiper motor gear, new horn or something.
