So this 712M now has...
2.7L motor
Custom ITB EFI
Custom Overdrive (which I still want!)
Custom Air Conditioning
Custom Mega front winch
and the custom hardtop with hatch
I am sure there are more customization's as well (and more planned?)!

I can't get anything past this crowd !! I know, I forgot the "e" !! ha ha

I'll do a write up on the EFI for those that are interested.

I have some extra cnc parts. It would be nice to refine this with another owner.

Holy smokes! (No pun intended.) That's a lot of details and impressive work. Probably not a do-it-yourself upgrade for most people. Really nice.

Does anyone know what bike the FI system came from? Gas is $4-5 a gallon in Peru and my carbs are a constant source of problems.

For much less than what FI would cost, you could send both carbs out to the USA for a correct rebuild and maybe install electronic ignition

I had them rebuilt about 4000 miles ago before I left the U S. And I have the SSI ignition. I have had them worked on 3 times in Peru, now the rear carb seems to be leaking around the throttle shaft. Also, it would be nice to get better fuel mileage since gas is so expensive here.

It looks like the seals I need for the throttle shafts are $25 each, plus shipping and customs. At this rate, I could do FI and make payments to the credit card instead of monthly payments to carb mechanic.

Check this kit for throttle body shaft repair- http://www.throttleshaftrepair.com/index.htm

I bought the kit a few years ago, but it disappeared before I had a chance to use it. One of the kits will work for Zenith carbs, I'm just not just which one, but I think it is the 5/16". You won't need seals with this kit.

Rocky SRL in Italy did my shafts. Less than $150 shipping both ways included.
