ITB Fuel Injection System

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

ITB Fuel Injection System

Post by bikmakr »

I've finished designing and building an independent throttle body injection and sequential ignition system. So far it's working great. I just have to finish tuning and get dyno results. More details to follow.

Beautiful. Are you going to be selling a kit?

Very nice! Curious how you adapted to the head intake ports, are you using the intake riser "pants"?
Hard to see in the PIX :? What injectors did you decide on? Are they EV6 or even later, what Lbs
and spray pattern, would be interesting too know.

That's under-doghouse porn at its best, thanks for sharing! The red covers are a nice touch.
Would be interested to know if you ever consider to come up with a kit, too.

WOW! I've had that idea in my head for years, but no real way to make it a reality... please consider selling a kit.

rmel,

I designed and fabricated a custom intake manifold with cylinders 2 and 3 crossed over to match the runners lengths of 1 and 4.

Eyeball engineering is qualitative, that said this manifold looks technically very good!
Balanced flow etc, separate throttle body/port . Looks like at least EV6 injectors -- good.
What flow rate did you settle on e.g. Lbs @ 3 Bar? Curious about the spray patter you
picked, e.g. "shot gun" 20 to 30 degrees or "laser beam" 10 degrees.

Damn cool! I bet your not going to be pumping these out in volume

Hey! When do we see the turbo-charger prototype, at least 2 bars -- no :P

I am really envious of the skill and quality exhibited. I regret not taking the time to invest in developing my skills in this area more. Great work!

I would settle for being able to correctly pronounce that word on the engine that has 25 letters in it.

Oh! That one is easy "Throttle valve injection".
Fabricating that puppy is the pièce de ré·sis·tance :P

nevertheless there is a grammar mistake there ...

it should read "unabhängige Drosselklappeneinspritzung"

But I join the crowd and applaude to the excellent quality of craftsmanship displayed in this project !
Cheers
