There are a couple of ways to install this beast. I'm curious which is best.
I'm running a 12v fan, 12v amplifier (about 150 watts RMS) and cell phone charger. I may add a CB in eventually and a few interior lights. This is off of a 20 amp 24-12v converter purchased from Ka. It gets WARM!
I can install this new Solar unit as a step down converter or a battery equalizer. I want to choose equalizer correct? Then run a new 12v lead directly off of the 2nd battery correct?
Can i use a common ground now or should i run a lead back to the negative terminal?

solar equalizer
Check Jurgen's site, (http://www.sdp-pinzgauer.org/html/12v_supply.html) there is a diagram for installation of an equalizer. Every time I run something like a 24/12 converter or even lights, I use a separate ground wire for the install, I don't use the chassis for ground.
