The name of the stuff I used isn't handy right now but it was just a textured spray material from a local hardware store or Home Depot. Note - this stuff was sort of rough to the touch so you might consider sanding it slightly before you go painting it or you'll likely lose some skin on your right elbow when off roading!

while I have not used the spray stuff on the console, I have used it before. I like the texture you get from a 3/8 nap roller better than the spray on stuff. The liner is available in quart cans which should be enough to cover the console and the rollers can be had in the trim size and are fairly cheap.

I just used "spray tex" set it on medium texture. Takes 5 min to dry and then I painted it with a few coats of SAV Swiss green.

I got mine today...and it is VERY well made! This is so worth the money. I hit it with some rubberized spray to get the texture others have added, then I will paint it OD.

We have around 11 million examples that the latter isn't all that difficult.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago, thanks!

For my installation I had to significantly lower/alter the clips on the console (put the rear on the bottom after grinding a slot in the metal piece, removed the front and put a spacer/washer on the lower screw mount). Tried it first as Krylon Camo and did not like that look, then redid it with Krylon Hammered Black and I think it is a nice look and is consistent with the doghouse.
