24v 4 channel amplifier project finally "Complete"

I'd vote against it actually. Seems too bulky, adding stress to the connector. I'd either hardwire it directly to the board or find an old power supply and snip off the connector. I save all of mine throughout the years. In this case, a power supply is that black box that you plug into the wall that powered your old answering machine, cordless phones, etc. You just cut off the connector with a few inches of length and crimp it to your wiring.

I was just thinking that if I set it up in an AMMO box of some sort, I could pull it out for security reasons...I guess the speakers are hard wired anyway...just seems cleaner...

I would probably just use the screw terminals built into the board to eliminate 1 extra connection that could wiggle loose.

Update:

The "Hi end" chip that i purchased started to pick up noise. It eventually became so bad that it over powered the audio... So its on the bench. I've replaced it with the new version of the second amplifier mentioned in this thread. No noise what so ever! Output isnt the greatest however. Loud enough i suppose.

I've only test fitted the new board. Final plans are to install it into a small ammo box along side a simple 24v to 12v adapter for iphones and 12v fans. I've ordered all of the quick disconnects required for removal, though its not a very convenient process (Disconnect 4 RCAs, two individual power quick connects and a retro fitted Metra car audio adapter). I'll post pictures when i get to the completed version.

Pyle is pretty bad audio but may work if your ok with distortion
Check Amazon for that part number and it should be 1/3 of the price on the Pyle site
Kicker makes some good products (12v) for power sports market

Yeah, the Pyle stuff is low-end, but then again if you can't handle distortion you should be driving another vehicle. Mostly it was a joke. I'm not even sure that a Pinz alternator can power the 2000W version at full power. I see there's an 800w version too.

Added the finishing touches on my ammo can amp. It's mounted and loud. "Quick disconnect" system based off of Honda head unit adapters and a trailer connector for power. RCAs disconnect from the volume knobs mounted in my center console.
