My misunderstanding I thought you were objecting to “the thing” not that you were interested in “the thing” mount. :lol:

Haven't been able to find a SIG semi-auto or even a Steyr, which I understand fit perfectly in the stock brackets and look smashing. :) And now I have to start looking for the camo balls.

I know that most want the latest and most powerful but, the K31 fits. It is bolt action and fires a 7.5 / 55 round that is still available.

edit: Very often they are put together in an armory out of parts that are interchangeable, so try to get one with the serial numbers
on the stock and receiver, bolt and barrel that all match (may be difficult to do) for a more collectable piece. If you are a collector.

Matching #'s K31's. One Walnut and one Beechwood. They still have the names of the last soldiers they were issued to on pieces of paper under the metal on butt stock.
