Re: Winch bumper
Very inventive. Would you be able to seal the front tube and use it for an air tank for air tools and filling tires?

Re: Winch bumper
will you be able to swing the door all the way forward while performing service? Some guys don't like when the bumper leaves a ding in the side of the door bottom.

Re: Winch bumper
No progress today Work load wore me out. As for the door opening, well.. from all the way shut (let's say 0 degrees) to open (about 80 deg) the'll be able to go 120 deg I'm guessing. If any more is needed I'll drop the bumper a bit or pull doors ..Not a big deal if I'm wrenching anyways!
Re: Winch bumper
Got a bit done today. It's starting to look better than expected!
Re: Winch bumper
looking clean. Did you tack weld the nuts to the bottom of the fair lead mounting bolts or can you reach back there with a hand while the bumper is on?

Re: Winch bumper
I thought the side tubes would be connected to the front bumper with a slip fit to give flex. Very clean look to the whole thing. Powder coat?
