Can you expand on the red fire extinguisher

Do you have the extinguisher plumed to apply to engine only? I was thinking about under the dash as another fire prone area. Especialy since all the brake fluid under there. You sure are prepared for a lot of contingencies. I like the converter mounted there. I have a sound powered headset that I would like to mount there. They work ok. Not loud enough for my wife, but I like them 'coz they really cut noise down. I ran a noise meter and have 90~98 db going on. Hard to talk over that or hear after.

That's a halon fire suppression system and if there was a fire it would go off on its own and there is also a guarded pull knob in the dash hooked via a cable to the unit. If the fire was inside the doghouse you could lift the top cover and pull the knob to activate the system. Should put out most fires. Way over kill but what the hell. Even has a 24 watt 110volt red CFL bulb in a explosion proof housing that is really cool at night for those "RIG FOR RED" moments LOL

I noticed the lamp. Ex.Navy. I'm going to borrow your idea, if you don't mind. I like it. That's why I went with sound powered head sets. I looked for Ships communication, but could not find anything that was guaranteed to be in working condition. So I bought a set of David Clark headsets. Work pretty good and look cool driving around in them. Plus I can talk to my wife or she can talk to passengers in back. And my ears aren't ringing after a long ride.

LOL yeah sure on the Red lamp. It throws out the equivalent of a 100w incandescent bulb and CFLs are not bothered with vibrations. We have four Peltor Powercom headsets and they work really really well and allow for effortless communications. Also have two Motorola FM business radios with headsets for the driver and Co-pilot.

Is brake fluid flammable? I thought it was not, especially considering the hygroscopic characteristics of most DOT formulas.

Looking from the passenger cabin left to right is a pipe for inserting into the wheel steps for a jacking point, marine first aid kit, Pickaxe, Military biological decon container (empty), 9K BTU propane Mr. Heater unit (fantastic unit), A-B-C fire extinguisher, Battery powered red light, 110V 24W red CLF in explosion proof housing, Battery powered emergency strobe light and a lot of misc climbing gear and grappling hook.

From front cabin left to right: Stock recovery cable, Various head mounted flashlights, Pouch for radios, Controller for GoLight mounted on front of the truck, Halon fire extinguishing system with bubble slope levels, Headsets for 2way radios, Mag mount battery powered spotlight, Head mounted flashlight, 24V to 12V converter, 12V to 110V inverter and I think that's about it.

Drivers head is in front of the gear without issue.

Behind the rear cabin seats are a lot of misc tools such as an axe, bow saw, hookaroon, Folding bolt cutters, sledge hammer, Gaff, Fireman breaching tool, 5ft pinch bar, Machete, Tactical Tomahawk and more I can't think of at the moment.

We also have a small job box with all the recovery gear such as a 2.5 ton chain tug come along, chains, ropes, Tow straps, Batteries/flashlights and so on.

You can see the remote controlled GoLight mounted on the front of the pinz. It's inside the canvas bag.

There is also a 2000W Honda compact suitcase generator that gets mounted on the front of the trailer and we run an extension cord into the pinz for a coffee maker, Toaster oven and what not. We are in in process of making a metal tool box to hold the generator for the trailer. Also have a 1000W pivoting 16" ships spotlight that will be mounted on a pedestal off the front of the trailer. Custom setup for a 110V 1000w FEL lamp putting out 29000 lumens. See pic below

That halon stuff is nasty, seems not only overkill but downright unsafe and irresponsible, I don't know many bilge rats that can climb out of the engine space once that systems been activated.

I disagree.

We spec Halon 1211 in all Ferrari/Lamborghini applications that we deal with. It works well and leaves zero residue. It has only been banned by the EPA for ozone-depletion -- but I bet a burning Pinzguaer does more harm to Mother Earth than the deployment of 5# of Halon 1211.

I don't know about irresponsible. Halon is very effective. If I had a fuel fire 6 inches from me or my wife, I would want the most efficient method of putting out that fire. We used it on a ship. Although on a ship, everone is to use oxygen breathing apparatus (OBA)s. If you ever seen a demonstration of halon compaired to any other method, you would see how superior it is. Just because the govt says something is bad doesn't mean it isn't effective. DDT is bad, but is effective. Malaria was almost erradicated wherever it was used. Also ,brake fluid is very flammable. Ask a fireman.

I sit corrected (and surprised). From what I've just read, many automotive fluids that we think are inflammable actually burn at the right temps:
