looking for gutter rail roof brackets

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

looking for gutter rail roof brackets

Post by technichen »

I'm looking for some brackets that mounts to the gutter rail around the top of a 710K. Similar to the ones on a Land Rover.
I want to fab up a roof rack for my RTT and lights. I tried the search but never cam up with the right thing I was looking for.
Any help would be nice!
Thanks

I did find these at Front Runner

But don't want them to bend over (L shaped) I want to be able to weld directly to flat plate!

Another option - have some thick plate mounts fab'd up and bolt in like this one

Another bolt on option:

Hmmm.

I like the white and blue one's....seem more heavy duty

but I really like the black one from the link with a few minor adjustments to fit my needs. I want to make sure it'll hold the weight correctly and not screw up the roof!

Vince picked up this nice set up in So Ca. and it worked out great. I made the ladder.

Hey Andre,
I definitely want your ladder.
I'll let you know when I talk to you for my bumper build. pm me a price on the ladder!!!!

I think a redesign on the black rack for me will be the perfect set up. I have a CVT RTT and CVT Awining to mount. Plus I really love the look of it. It'll definitely fit the look I'm gunning for!

I have the roof rack on my K supported with Quik - n - Easy gutter mounts. They're super stout, simple design and the perfect height for a Pinz K.

Front runner racks are very pricey
May as well have Andre build you a stronger custom one if he is going to be building a bumper and ladder for you!

The Front Runner racks are extremely pricey, but are very adaptive with the "T" slots that allows for tiedowns to be moved without drilling holes.
That rack is what Vince used on the 710K above. I have one on my JKU and will fit one to GG in the future.

I'm against drilling holes into the roof. My 716 had a rack similar to the blue one when I had gotten it. There was cancer spending from every hole.

If you're fabricating your our rack, making the mounts are not that difficult, and the FR's are a nice simple design to copy. :D
