For those that haven’t seen my Instagram posts, here is my new dash on my R2.8 Cummins C303. I had to make a whole new panel to get rid of all the extra holes. My C303’s electrical system is now also keyless and app controlled. The truck senses when I’m close to it and unlocks the ignition allowing me to start the truck. I can also turn individual systems on and off via an app if desired. Almost all fuses are solid state and I can see the amp draw of each system in the app. The dash seen below integrates with the electrical system on the R2.8 Cummins eliminating a ton of wires for sensors etc.

Looks well done! Clean and uncluttered. Can you provide a close-up shot of the instrument panel?
Any plans to sell the items no longer being used? Gauges? Cables Warning lights? Original relays?
Take care.

Close up of the metal dash or the digital display? No plans either way on the old parts. Mostly want to get rid of the old engine. But if someone is in need of parts I certainly don’t need them anymore.

I am interested in the display itself. Also interested in the parts you no longer need...other than the motor. I am fine with what I have at present...including a Penta AQ170.

Seems I can upload larger files than I thought. You should be able to zoom in now and see detail. The Gauge is a Haltech ic-7.

Thank you for thei information and the photos. Very nice work on the repalcement instument panel fabrication! Our 12v TGB1314A witht eh MB OM617A turbodiesel could use an instrument panel upgrade and the Haltech ic-7 appears perfect.
Take care.

Jim, just keep in mind that the iC-7 receives much of it data from my OBDII port. It can only receive 4 analog signals and 2 digital signals. I have a feeling they will be expanding that in the future though.

Nice. Yeah I don't think these are very useful for any motor without an OBDII system in place, which is most motors after mid/late 90's. I've seen a couple installed that were pieced together to provide some base info from old motors but with add-ons that took endless hours to figure out, customize, etc and it didn't seem worth the trouble for an old engine when you have so many analog gauges to pick from and GPS speedo's, etc..

Gentlemen,
Thank you. Very good to know. When lessening complexity and maximizing simplicity is the goal, that would not be the optimal choice.
Take care.
