DIY tie rod

Post by 6099 »

Hello, me again, having trouble sourcing an original tie rod. Through pictures on the net, I see that it has curved ends. Why so?

Couldn't I just build a staight rod with materials that are easily available?

Old thread, unanswered question, but maybe some other newbies will also ask. The bent section of the tie rod stops it from fouling on the axle/portal box (or am I wrong?).
