Master cylinder parts

Post by Bernard »

Hi,

One of my assisted master cylinders has started to drain into
the booster on cold nights (below freezing).

This prompted me to ask my Volvo dealer for parts, but the answer is
that the repair kits as well as the complete master cylinders are
not available anymore.

Does anyone have cross reference numbers for the cups ?

Thank you,
Bernard.

I think we have enough info to identify the cups etc.
Let me see what I can come up with.

Master cylinder parts

Post by Bernard »

Hi,

After many problems, I have the information.

The remote vacuum servos used in my C303 are part LR18230,
also used in Rover P6 2200 and Aston Martin DB5 in the front circuit.

It is available at Brakes International (www.brakesint.co.uk)
as their part number VSB1023. It is available elsewhere as well.

Lockheed has changed names quite a few times, which has made the search very long and difficult.

Part of the problems I have encountered is the fact that the current
manufacturer (APBraking) decided to disregard my measurements and
pointed to another part, which was listed in old documents as being
the one they sold to Volvo in the '70s.

Thanks for posting that info. My sources were coming up "blank" on the part numbers.
