C303 windscreen spray nozzles

Post by Heering80 »

Hi everyone, one beginner question here.. doing some basic maintenance for my new baby :)

Have anybody ever cleaned their windscreen wiper spray nozzles? Mine are blocked from somewhere deep, and I don't know how to open them. Can I just pull the nozzle off from outside or should I try to go from inside? Those damn hoses are just installed so awkwardly..

3 steps I would try is:
1. with a very thin gauge wire or drill bit (.010 to .015 inch dia.) Gently probe the exit opening. The discharge is a ball that can be moved to adjust where the spray goes. Move it a little bit while probing. Try the washer and see if it sprays

2. A little compressed air in the discharge hole. Try the washer again, see if it sprays.

3. Carefully a little compressed air in the other end. Try the washer again. usually they are good by now.

If not, you are right they are not fun to remove and clean out.

Good luck

I have used a straight pin to aim the hole and clean it as well.
