head and leg room?

Post by seancassidy »

Hi All,
I've just discovered the volvo c303 in the past 2 weeks ( despite the internet? ). Stumbled on one outside a shop, up in the Swedish Artic. The owner didn't speak English and I've no swedish :( , so I couldn't do my standard size check! I'm 6 ft 4in in height and don't fit too well in a lot of vehicles, even new ones.
Before I start arranging flights back to sweden or elsewhere to look at possible purchase, do I fit?
Any tall people, 6ft 4in plus, who own and drive these volvos?
I'm interested in the 4x4 version, with a steel roof.
By fit, I mean, comfortable enough to drive long distance. :P

What a cool vehicle? My series 111 landrover might get replaced sooner, rather than later.
Thank you all in advance.

Sean

I'm 6'3" and I fit in my Volvo C303. The problem for me is not so much being able to fit as it is having a view from the upper part of the window that is somewhat restricted. The seats are not very comfortable, so I changed mine out. It is necessary to do so with very low profile seats in order for tall people to still be able to fit.

Cheers,
Greg

Tanx for that HalfWit!
The worst about researching Volvos is that you suddenly find Pinzies?
May just have to drop over to the UK during the summer and try to gat a demo drive in each, and see which floats my boat the best???
All the technical pro and cons don't matter until I've settled the practical stuff.
Thank again!

Sean,
Considering where you are, you should check out Difflock if you are not already aware of its existence:

http://forum.difflock.com/viewforum.php ... d19d1acffd

You should be able to get some information and leads on vehicles and parts in your area from that source.

Cheers,
Greg
