Power Assist Steering

Post by geckoadventure »

I have been looking for a power steering assist kit for the C304 as I need to have the thing steer easier and better in the jungle not having the wheel yanked out of my hands

ANyone got any ideas?

A steering shock is on the way

I found a link in the uk from a VW guy who sells power assist kits for VWs.

i have emailed him.

There are several options:

1) use opel/vauxhall corsa parts (its an electronic assisted steering setup)
if you do a google you will find a video about a guy who put is on a c303

2)full hydrolic steering, put a orbital hydrolic pump on the crankshaft pulley
and an hydrolic cilinder on the steering links and go

3)use an Opel/Vauxhall Vectra system it uses an electronic motor to put the hydrolic reservoir under pressure and then a hydrolic steering wheel to do the rest

4)do some power lifting and grow bigger arms!
