my truck has that giant aluminum box were the air filter currently lives. looks like it would be important if the truck was running in subzero temps but since im not i was thinking of removing it. ive seen pics were the silver air inlet does a 180 right into the black box and i figure bring the cold air direct to the carbs would be better. it looks like the air filter will fit in the black box mounted to the carbs. ive even thought of a snokel option but my heart is leaning towards keeping it mostly original.
