Overheating

Hi Folks

I was speaking to a mechanic i used to take my car to get serviced (until he robbed me blind one day repairing a cracked head on a Vitara) about Portal axles on my C303.

He mentioned that one of the biggest problems with portals is that they can overheat !! Is this true ?

More gears will naturally mean more heat. The temps are not as high as motor oil,use good lube and have fun!
