Jeep fuel filler

Post by Hoss »

I note that a few owners have change the fuel filler to a Jeep one.

But being over the other side of the pond i'm having trouble sourcing the parts.
So, I was wondering if theres a nice guy over there somewhere who could get me the bits and send them for a few beers?
Ideally i'd like a Diesel filler, as my 303 has been converted (which makes it all the harder to find), but i would settle for a Gas filler and modify it if i had to.

;)

Please update your profile to show country or region for best assistance.
Other side of the pond is a lot of countries, but they all have one thing in common................Ebay!

Yeah. And what you are seeing, at least on the 303 I had, is a simple Ford utility-body part.

Nothing "Jeep" mixes with anything I have/had.

I used a generic filler for mine, so I'm sure you can source something that would work from various European manufacturers as well.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions.

Vince - which Ford part did you use? Do you have pictures / part nos?

Hafwit - any links to generic one?

That was in 2003 I think, so no, I dont recall what it was. There are pics on my real4x4.com site somewhere, but not detailed. Its not going to just "bolt-on" anyway so anything similar will do just as well most likely. You'll need to make the main pipe and cut some major holes, carefully.

On ebay in US, searching just "fuel filler" brings up a large number of choices. Since there are many options, I really don't know how to direct you. As an example, here is one that is plastic but made for a utility body--you would then select a neck that fits your application:

For diesel, you could go with something like this:
