Longer seatbelt receiver needed.

Post by sixbennetts »

Ok, let's keep the giggling to a minimum, OK? My seatbelt doesn't fit. There, I said it. I feel like one of those roasts all trusted up with string. I gotta inhale to, "Click-it or Ticket".

And I hate the cloth strap receivers because no matter what I do they always fall under the side of the seat and get jammed, and I have to hunt for them. Seatbelt extentions would be just as bad. They get stuck too.

What I want is to keep my seatbelt that comes over from my left, but replace the short cloth receiver with a longer, stiff, stock Volvo part.

I wanna go from this:

To something like this:

You must have gotten one of those short seatbelts...

I hope you can find what you are looking for, but if not, have you thought about using the cloth strap version but rolling it up inside a spring or putting a long helix of tape around it to stiffen it? Get inventive!

I see little or no reason to not get ft seat belts from a Pinz...The female side is quite ridgid, other half is good bolts for attachment.

BTW if It is of any help,I have 2 ft sets of cab,and at least 3 rear sets of belts from my TGB. Make a offer,I'm easy!
Stock means no imagination!

Didn't think of the spring, Jim, but I did think of heavy duty heat shrink. 2 layers would make it nice and stiff.

M, are your receivers the longer ones? Can you snap a pic and maybe measure one for me please?

Thanks
