That's what I was afraid of, changes in the GM ECM depending on whatever reason.
Looks like I'm stuck with waiting till I get mine to know what to order.

Have you ever had a look at the ECM addons from DynamicEFI?
It seems to bring new features (such as bigger maps) to the GM ECM and especially flash programming through a direct USB connection.

I have had some discussions with the owner at Dynamic. Appears he has some good products. I don't really know enough about his system to have a solid opinion at the moment. I can say that I do not find the current GM computer to be lacking at the moment. In fact the GM computer has more functions than I can currently utilize.
