Slipping out of low gear range

Hello All,

My c303 worked just fine until I am all of a sudden have a hard time engaging low gear range, meaning it stays in neutral, unengaged until I go back to high range gearing. Sometimes, I'll get it to engage in low gear range and it slips out the moment I am accelerating in first gear. Any ideas?

Thank you!

Marcus

Perhaps the shift linkage is adjusted a bit too mutch toward the high range side. Low........Neutral...High I had similer prob getting into low when I got mine,a little adjust and all fine!

Thanks for replying to my post although its Thanksgiving. Do you have a reference for directions on how to adjust the linkage?

Get a helper, look thru the dog house cover, see which way the llinkage goes, adj (threaded linkage),if it's better, keep going until happy,if worse, well,go the other way. Sorry for the late response, been real busy...

I went to a local Volvo dealership here in Denver and the shop foreman is comfortable working on my toy. The gear issue was caused by the parking break cable blocking the linkage to the auxilliary gear box...a 5 minute fix for free.
