K&N filter on a 303

Post by Cole Wilson »

For any one that cares I found a simple cheap way to mount a K&N filter on my 303. I used an Ru-3590 filter I paid $35 dollars for you can look on knfilters.com under universal filters to find a different one if you would like. I used the old filter in the original box for the seal and carefully cut the paper filter out. I then placed the seal back in the box. Before placing the cover back on the filter box be sure to seal the hole on the cover (about 1 inch long under the neck), I used RTV silicone. Then place the cover back on and fasten the new cone filter to the neck. You could also get a 2 3/4 inch flexable vinyl hose and fasten that to the neck on the filter box and run your air filter any where you like. I would suggest you look on K&Ns website for a universal filter with a metal flange so you could slide the hose over the metal flange. http://colesvolvo303.4t.com/
