Removing steering ball joints

Hi all
Does anyone have any experience in removing the ball joints from the aux steering arm?
I've got a bearing separator wrapped round it and a 10 ton puller trying to pull them apart with no success.
The nut is off and the puller has been left in place with plus gas soaking overnight to see if it pops, but have I missed something?
Steve

They can be a pain to separate.......I pretty much do the same, and leave the puller or seperator cranked up as tight as possible and soaked in RP7 then head off for a cuppa, and 'usually' when l come back, it's apart.
If not I put an extra turn on the tool bolt and repeat the above
It helps sometimes to give it a whack with a copper mallet.

I tried a ball joint separator, a bearing puller but with no success. I eventually bought a pitman arm puller which worked a treat.
Check the size before you buy (this one may not suit).

Thanks for the replies. Got it off now. Hydraulic ball joint separator. This steering setup is costing me a fortune in tools.

My grandfather told me once, "You will never regret spending a bit more and getting the best tool you can afford. You will always regret buying a tool that breaks or fails to work as it should in order to save a few dollars." Sage advice!
