Extra Mirrors

Post by HafWit »

I am looking for two replacement side mirrors for my North American Haflinger. I have the stems and need only the mirrors themselves. Either round or oval/rectangular mirrors would be fine so long as they fit the stock posts. I have some other parts I could trade if that is preferable to cash.

Thanks,
Greg

Round Unimog mirrors fit, the rectangle Haflinger mirrors and NLA
The Mog ones are clamp on. I removed a set from this Hafi as I bought it from Greg years ago

Square'ish mirrors are the same as Landrover ones like these:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WING-DOOR-MIR ... 1ea2a6e0ff

In the past, I have purchased sets of mirrors from both Haflinger Technik and Robert Prokschi. I may have some spares I could part with but have to check my inventory.

It is nice to know about the rectangular Land Rover mirrors although that type used on Haflingers are of smaller dimensions if memory serves me correctly. I will gest some exact measurements once back at the farm.

I have had good success using the convex side mirror from Pinzgauers on both the narrow Unimog 404 mirror arms and the much lager Volvo TGB/C303 arms. They would likely work on a Haflinger as well.

One can also find both small round and rectangular generic side view mirrors at most auto parts stores.

Hope this helps.

Take care.

Phone numbers / email address are better sent via PM's! A post to say you have sent a PM might be needed if the receiver does not notice the PM link showing a message has been received.
Who knows what use your phone number will be used for?!

B Bryan,
You originally contacted me through our Northwest MogFest website. I have responded with numerous e-mails along with photos of various parts and price ranges. I now have to question if you ever received any of these e-mails.
I have taken you up on your offer to send you a text. That has been done. Your 707 area code places you in Northern CA so no time zone different. I will place a call to you around 8am Pacific time.
Take care.
