Haflinger Spark Plug Spec Required

Post by Andrew R »

Hi. Can anyone help me with details of the correct spark plugs for the series 1 Haflinger engine? (engine no: 5359186 VIN: CF 5352174). I am repairing what looks like a 1962 series 1 SWB Haflinger.

Thanks

Taken straight from the factory workshop manual, spark plugs are Bosch W225 T 1.

Thanks. I do not have any manuals yet so I'm working in the dark a bit. According to the Bosch Helpline the current equivalent to a Bosch W225T1 is a Bosch W5AC, which in turn is equivalent to a NGK B7HS. The engine came with NGK BP6HS as used on early 1300cc VW Beetle.

Thanks again for your help.

Andrew, please add your location to profile, and If you can find them , Beru Silverstone 6H spark plugs are great. They have silver tips and give a nice clean hot spark.
