Farmobil Work Car - very similar to a Hafilinger!

Post by TechMOGogy »

Check this out - very interesting!
The Chrysler Farmobil: German-Greek Agricultural Machine
"The Farmobil was also sold in Austria and Switzerland by Steyr"
I guess this explains a lot of it:
"The original development work for this light agricultural all-purpose flat-bed truck was undertaken by Steyr Puch in Austria"

The saying "there's nothing new under the sun" springs to mind. So many vehicles which are so similar to each other from the very first mechanical contractions to the very latest!

I guess this explains a lot of it:
"The original development work for this light agricultural all-purpose flat-bed truck was undertaken by Steyr Puch in Austria"
.. and they say Steyr sold it, too, but under their own brand..

Could they be confusing the "Landwagen" 2wd poly version for a variant of the Farmobile? It would seem counter-productive to make a cheap(er) version of something they were making already.

It doesn't surprise me that Stery would be involved in the dev of a project like this.. It was their forte.. But sell it too?
I want to see proof.
