Wayy too much money, but i'm starting to look for something similar. These tapered nuts would work for lug centric rims correct?

Yup, racing nuts. Can't find alternatives in this style.

Have you seen the thread on the nuts needed (I am on iPad currently so harder to search etc but I can look later tonight). Rick had some made up and they did not look anything like those racing nuts for alloy rims
I think I have the acad drawing of what he made as well

Here are a couple of the threads - I assume the Lancia alloys would be the same?

I'm confused on the need for new lug nuts beyond the conical impact area of the nut on the rim, and the amount of thread available. The custom lug nuts do not take advantage of the tapered lugs, and instead use the cyl surrounding the threads to fill in the 12mm space of the alloy rims. They will be quite pricey for 16... so why are they needed vs tapered nuts? Yes, the alloy rim is wider and less thread protrudes. But it does protrude at least 3/4 of an inch, if not an inch

The stock lug nuts are ball seated, and fully thread onto the bolt through the hole (although just barely). Is the risk that there is no extra threading that they can come off too easy? Wouldnt some blue loctite take care of that concern? Or do i need conical nuts on alloys? and ball seated on steel?

I know I am stating the obvious on the Standard Pinz lug nut = M14 x 1.5 mm
The part that is not as well advertised is the ball radius is 14mm.
It's also standard for Porsche 911. Lots of fancy lugs available.

 OK, should have guessed that with a itty bitty bolt of 10mm :D

Wonder if the radius is 10mm for the ball. Seems typical that the radius
of the Ball = Bolt size. Although I have seen at least one case where
that was not true.

I really don't know.
There are different schools of thoughts out there:
Rick's rim's needed new nuts
Garry says his don't (viewtopic.php?p=77508#p77508)
I just remember reading this from Scott (semi on topic): viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8253&hilit=lug

I do have a set of Fiat 14" rims but am not using them so I kind of dropped the research on the lugs and just stuck with the 13" steelies I had.

Paging GaryCol, paging Garycol...

Gary, why did your fiat rim fall off? What is it that the aftermarket lugnuts supported that the stock nuts did not?
