The new Grenadier 4x4
Sort of a D110 and G wagon combo but built from the ground up. Steyr was involved it seems.
Well done video about it- https://youtu.be/yZVYpdoqFow

Interesting car.....chassis and suspension designed and build by MAGNA , engines would be used from BMW gearbox from ZF ? Well you can 't go verry wrong with that combo.....and yes it looks like a mix from a G wagon/ land rover defender/ iveco massif....
l'm interested and going to follow this one ...prices would be around 25.000 Britisch pounds ...

Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
I wonder about the axles though. They seem possibly too unique and parts might be difficult one day. I wonder why they didn't just use Gwagon versions.

Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
Probably because it would drive the price up by $10K

Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
Well that still puts it on the 35.000 pound range.....same as a Nissan navaraVinceAtReal4x4s wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 12:06 pm Probably because it would drive the price up by $10K
Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
I dont understand why everyone is saying that its a rip off from the l.r defender....it has notting to do with land rover, ok it looks a bit like a defender but that is it. If it is a defender rip off i dont want it,... to me they where crap. Owned a 110 defender ... never again , owned a range rover td6.....drove great but had his problems ( most electronics) ....so i hope this one will be back to basic and reliable, then i will be interested

Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
They are now delivering in the UK/AU and Europe.
US prices announced. I'd like one but $73K is way out of my range. I guess its not that bad though, relative to what people pay for 4x4's these days. $100k+ isnt unusual, even Jeep has that $90K Wagoneer and I'd take this over that thing in a second.

Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
Yes prices went high...but still cheaper then a G wagon now we wait and see what kind of problems or issues will pop up with it...if they are not a lot this can become a interesting car to folow or even buy ?
Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
Hmmm, I'd give this a few years to develop a reputation.
The company, INEOS Automotive is a subsidiary of INEOS which is more of a petrochem
but dabbles in other industries.
I don't see a lot of car DNA on the management team other than one or two; Thibaut Doneux,
who is more of the "Clay cutter" -- designer. He does have a lot of experience with other car Co's,
but design is not engineering. Then this guy, Hans-Peter Pessler, who recently joined, came from
Magna-Steyr as a project manager -- OK... You can look these people up on various professional
sites like LinkedIn.
CEO has jack experience in cars, or engineering, pure bean counter/markteer.
https://www.ineos.com/news/shared-news/ ... utomotive/
So...to me, this looks like a pure EM outsourcing deal, perhaps to Magna? The EM engineers it, builds
it but INEOS says it looks like this, has the cigarette liter outlet "here", and cut corners here. Again,
give this one time to bake and develop a rap from those that take the plunge.
I'll stick with my Pinzies in the meantime
My $0.02 from the glass is half empty guy....

Re: The new Grenadier 4x4
That actually does look great. The portals on that looks better outfitted than they do on the G version. Maybe the only new 4x4 I'd really want, other than a new U5000
