Puch 230GE Bottom Trim Removal

Post by Buzz »

I'm working on treating some rust along the bottom of my ex-swiss G Wagon and I need to get the trim off the lower body. I'm hesitating before I get in there with a prying tool...
Thanks!

I did this on a 300GD and the rocker panel molding seems to be the same on my 230GE. The smooth center portion of the strip is snapped in place along one long edge. I don't recall if it is the top or the bottom but you just need to pry gently starting at one end and the strip is hinged on one side so it folds downward or upward. Underneath is a row of mounting screws which as I recall screw into plastic inserts in the body.
