Couldn't afford to buy it, maintain it, or make excuses for the depressions it would leave in asphalt on a hot day........

I remember reading about these in a 4x4 book that I got in my teens and thinking how cool it was (at that time!). One of the notable facts in the book were the custom, Z-rated all-terrain tires that only Pirelli makes for it, at a cost of several $1000 each. I think it got some horrific MPG rating as well with its V12 engine. A real freak of nature in the car world to say the least.

A local Pinz owner here used to own a red one. I lusted heavily over it whenever I'd see it on the street. But it's long since been sent down the road. Countach engine, if I'm not mistaken, though probably detuned a bit.
From what I'd heard recently, those tires are currently on the unobtainium list. To me, that's the deal-killer. Without tires, what good is a vehicle?
Definitely a freak of nature, but still very cool.
