Our visit to the North Florida Military Museum provided a fun size comparison for the Pinz vs aLARC LX 46.

You may be surprised to hear, but 3 years ago there were two of these LARCs slowly rusting near to Portsmouth UK, they were assessed by the Ryal Navy or Marines but they could not find a use for them.....so they went to be scrapped and 3 years ago were still just hanging around rusting........shame, but they are a bit big to take on as a resto project.

Dean Kamen has a LARC V on his Island in Long Island Sound
They call it the North Dumpling Navy.

So... all you need is a private island.. a big one if you want the LARC 46..

I recall finding a stripped out hull of a LARC in a scrapyard along the Snohomish river back in the late 80's early 90's; it looked so cool but it was HUGE. No engine or drivetrain to examine, however. But the hull was all aluminum - somebody got some pretty good scrap value for it.
