I've heard Chevron is good but hard to find in Ohio.

I'd put my bet on Lucas additives. No, I don't own stock in the Company -- YET :)
Their products work - based on my experiences.

For every tank I use something like this, which is a well proven, fleet-used additive and provides more than one treatment per bottle: http://fppf.com/products-by-name?task=c ... duct&id=10 You will notice a difference in cold starts and slight power gains are normal if you know your engine well. (It's not just for winter use) They make a few different ones.

This is also a great one: http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=31&pcid=11

But for real cleaning I'd always start with Liqui Moly Purge on just about any used diesel engine. It's the number one way to clean the injection system outside of taking the injectors off and servicing them and used by diesel shops all over the world. You need to follow the instructions because you have to cycle the stuff through your system until the bottle is empty. It's fairly simple and many times more powerful than any tank additive since it's not diluted. https://smile.amazon.com/Liqui-Moly-200 ... liqui+moly

Here's a video of someone doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFz3Mgc_Tz0
