Hi Steve. I've done a few intercooler conversions, It's not a DIY job as fueling and boost pressures have to be adjusted but power increase is around 30%. Nigel.
G'Day Ugo
How's Italy, can I say sunny?
I am looking at getting a full kit in a couple of months (depends on another guy). I'll take some piccies. I been studying it fairly well whats different but need a closer look of the kit.
I was looking in that big manual I sent over to you, I think that has some info on it also. I seen a Land Rover Discovery customised intercooler and looked exactly like a Pinz one (now I cant find the book). The Sprinter one seems to have the holes in the wrong place, so curious what systems they are using in the UK.

We use a custom made intercooler, the same size as the radiator, the trucks are shipped out to a specialist for installation and setting up, they keep the fuel settings and boost pressures a closely guarded secret !

Hi Nigel could be that a few members would like to buy the intercoolers and have them fitted. They could perhaps have the pump reworked in their country.
Is it worthwhile asking who would order one along with the pipes etc maybe if we had enough made you could supply at a discounted rate for us all.
Just a thought as Im sure I will bring mine over to you when I get it for an intercooler to be fitted and Andy Bird also wants one.

Hi Steve, I've been talking to Andy about one for his new truck, I'll have a word with my supplier to see if he thinks it's feasable to put a kit together.[/b]

Hi Nigel, happy new year.
I have just been reading through thread, once intercooler installation is complete,do you refit the existing front cover or does it need to be modified? Mine is a P80 front, not sure if i like the larger covers.
Thanks,
Garymartin.

I bought the lot at Withams because I wanted the cooling fan viscous hubs
In the lot is a brand new in the box P93 intercooler
I am tempted to keep it as a spare (wondering why) but if someone has a desire for it they can have it for 120 quid
the catch:
- I'm keeping the box
- It's in Cambridge, UK
- I'm flying out on Wednesday so either it is collect by then or is arranged before then.

Re: Intercooler
Any follow up to this interesting thread?
I understand the main problem is reaching the front of the vehicle with two big pipes. I've installed a Volvo TD intercooler engine on a P80 718 and I'm working on a water to air intercooler. Does anybody have experience in this solution?
Thanks
