Fuel Tank Drain Plug

Post by ms1223 »

I noticed some sand media in the tank when filling up the other day. The truck was blasted a couple of years ago. I haven't had any problems with fuel filters. Even so I'd like to get the sand out (and calibrate my fuel gauge). Will pulling the plug bring on the fuel tank "red death"?

No more than filling the tank with gas.

FYI, the sender does NOT go all the way to the bottom of the tank, it sits about 2" above bottom
