I finally got around to installing my TD tail lights. The turn signals, running lights, and blackout lights all work. I still need to hook up the brake lights. My '72 710M appears to be missing the infamous orange wire.
There are two running light circuits, black and gray. When I wired the lights, I hooked all the running lights and the license plate light to the black circuit. Can I use the grey wire for the brake ligths or am I asking for trouble with all the running lights on the same circuit.
The only drawback I can see is the all the load is on a single breaker but it's still within spec. If the breaker trips then I'll loose all of my running lights rather then one side at a time.
I'm also planning on hooking up the fog tail lights along with the brake lights. Does anyone know if this will exceed the specs on the brake light switch? I could install a relay if necessary or switch to LEDs.
