Starter button wiring.

I just found out why my battery wasn't charging. The new starter button that I installed had the wiring connected incorrectly. It worked fine... push it and the truck fired up. The problem is that it will work when wired wrong. There are three connections to make. Two black wires and one white one. The button only has one marked terminal, a positive (+) sign. I assumed that the odd colored wire went to the only marked terminal.... wrong! One black wire goes to the (+). The white wire goes to one of the unmarked terminals , and the other black wire goes to the other unmarked terminal.

Kinda strange that the button will work perfectly even when it's wired totally wrong!
