Wading

Post by SAM. C. »

Greeting Gents

A quick question about deep water. I have seen people cover their radiator grille (on lesser vehicles) with a tarp whan wading through deep water. This seems like a good idea on the pinz as surely getting a lot of water down the cooling tunnel would result in the water getting sprayed all over the place. Unless it causes it to suck from somewhere else.

Does any one have any handy wading tips? And I dont mean wear your speedos!!

Go slow in deep water and try to keep the water below the rub rails.
Massive amounts of water can dislodge the insulation from the tunnel directing it into the fan blades(which maybreak).
Others may go deeper
