Hello Russ,

It's been a while!

Yes waterproofing is a primary concern for some of us.

I'll be posting a video of water being sprayed on the EFI controller in my truck while driving. Submersion testing would be unlikely extreme, but the controller & connectors are all gasketed (including ignition).

Herbert & I are hoping to make one of the upcoming FL meets, there is one military one coming up which looks promising. I'm also considering trying another president's day or MLK weekend Ocala meet. Anyone game?

We want to torture test the trucks on the jungle cruise we found at the inaugural FL Treffen.

somethimes the little boy in me wants some extra gauges...

@Pinztrek have you got a vague idea when the system could be available?

is the connection to the EEE an extra or would it still be possible in the final version?

I finally found the latest EMS manual. Its located here -

Unfortunately, it hasen't been posted on the EMS Australia or North America sites.

With the new manual I was able to identify the mystery green/brown wire. It's an additional digital input not documented in the previous manual.

Isn't that what forums are for? To quote a phrase from a movie"Chance prefers the prepared mind".
Had an Epiphany today, I realized I have the only fully sequential gasoline Pinzgauer in the world that I know of . Come friday, there will be 2, and by april there will be at least 3 All the Red Bull trucks running the Motec M-4 ECU only fire the coils sequentially, the injectors are batch fire.
They used a highly modified stock distributor using a VW hall sensor and specially machined 4 window trigger wheel.

So has anyone got their kits from Jake yet?

Yes, it would work, but that is a batch fire wasted spark system just like the Saturn coil pack and module I was using. I have better response and power as well as increased fuel economy running full sequential control.

As for power, the entire system is powered by the 24/12 converter. I do this because it is protected from overvoltage if the vehicle voltage regulater fails.

As of today all but two kits have been shipped.. Those two were held for international shipping glitches.

Miracles can happen and I am VERY glad to have this behind us.

Well, we all know this project has been under a veil of secrecy for the last two or three years that is has almost been done. But, my Chinese spies, who have been staking out Jake's shop in hopes of getting a glimpse, were able to get this photograph of the EFI system being shipped:

P.S. Meanwhile, based on our spy work, my Chinese team is working fervently so that in 2-4 years we can also have a competing EFI system that almost works! We should then have no trouble finding a buyer who can make the system actually work. Hey - Jim L. - how much money do you have???
