Samlex Voltage Convert ?

My Samlex voltage converter seems to have failed. I have 24 v in, but nothing at the 12 v terminals. Fuse is ok. Seems I've read that these aren't very robust units. Can these be repaired? Is there a better choice? Thanks.

why not use the "battery equalizer" made by solar converter? you just take your 12v off one battery and the eq keeps all things good in real time. i think that's how it works, anyway...
