ROTOR ARM GREEN

Post by HOOPS PINZ »

On inspecting the dissy today Ive noticed that my civilian rotor arm brass sections and the base of the cap have gone green like mildew.

I have not been through any water since replacing the cap and rotor.

Any one else had this ?

I hate to see a question go unanswered (from personal exp). Its not uncommon to see a build up in those areas. In the old days it was part of a tune up to scrape off the buildup from the rotor and inside the cap. The pinz cap is not watertight in it's stock form,so some outside air will be drawn in. Perhaps you are getting wiffs of salty sea air making the brass parts green. Just clean and go!

Hi Mark

Thanks for the reply you could be right as I live on the coast. I had sealed the base of the cap plate with the blue hlylomar so I thought that might have sealed it enough.

Will see how it goes.
