Pinzgauer Ring Mount

Post by JaffaPinz »

Is there anyone who has illustrations or pictures of what cabin top ring mount (for an MG3 or equiv.) would have been used for a 710K?

TIA

I don't know the first thing about it (just stumbled upon the image through google image search). Take a look at the website http://www.tanstaafl.biz there is some more info there. (Also check out the 'about' link for some other interesting things that everyone needs in their garage!).

Thanks for the info/URL "Q".

Hmm...I think if I added some of those accessories to my Pinny they'd lock me up and throw away the key (at least in Oz) :D

The pictures indicated that they made a remotely operated machine gun that can be controlled by the joy stick on the center counsel and targeted using the video display mounted to the overhead counsel in the truck. The camera is probably mounted to the gun and co-witnesses to the bore. They stated that it fits the 710K without modification. Sounds like the perfect urban accessorie!

Pretty low tech but still very cool!! The Knob Creek shoot he is referring to is a national machine gun shoot held every year just south of Louisville, KY. I am hoping to take my Pinz there this year if it doesn't sell. You will see everything there up to and including the newer electric gatling guns. Very cool stuff.

Here's the link to the event: http://www.machinegunshoot.com/shootinfo.htm

... i was really most interested in the 'eight year old whiskey in four weeks' device!
...might we get away with that one here? (and also 'down-under'?)...

Thanks all,

What I am looking for is pics of a ring mount I can fab, find, and put on my 710K to "accessorize" it as a military vehicle. As a military vehicle I can not imagine that there wasn't a gun mounted there at some time or another in the service life if the 701K or 712K.

TIA

Wonder it this would work?

It is a German ring mount. Probably have to remove the hatch cover as I do not think the hinge would work in conjunction with having this mounted.

I definitely need one for SoCal traffic and gang violence protection!!!

Plus with all the carp that's going on in Mexico (30 minutes from here) lately, it couldn't hurt!

With a vehicle so equipped, you could probably roll up on the drive through window at In N Out Burger and ask (nicely) for a "double double animal style" and get it for free!
