BFG Mud-Terrain T/As

Post by stevo »

I was wondering if anyone has tried the BFG KM2 tires; how do they compare to the BFG KM tires (the original mud-terrain TAs)? Do they plug-up in the mud or snow? I would like some imput before I drop a grand+ for tires. Thanks!

I have also been looking at the KM'2s. I currently have BFG M/T's and love them. The rubber coupmound is softer than the m/t. Though BFG M/T are known to have a very hard compound compared to goodyear MTR's. I have heard they are very quiet for a MT. The sidewall is thicker and does not flex as well as the MT. To get it to flex you have to air down more. More than the 18psi I run which blows beads more than i wish(wish i had Stauns  ). this is the one thing that has kept me from buying them. I need a tire to flex and flex without blowing a sidewall. As far as wear goes thaey are more aggressive. Some are seeing 30k with them. I cant ever imagine getting that out of any tire on the pinz. I can bet they look bad a$$ on a pinz though. Hope this helped.
