fuel gauge not working

Post by norcal pinz »

sorry everybody i know this has come up before but i cant find the thread, so anyway today i tried to fix my fuel gauge, i cleaned the connection at the tank , and all of the wires under the gauge are in great condition, and connected. i also touched the wire at the tank to a ground and no movement at the gauge? so then i took the gauge of and then i noticed that in the middle where the black connector plugs into the back there is a loose wire inside where the connector should make contact so i fished it out and soldered it back in place anyway it still does not work??? tia and sorry if this sounds like nonsense any help is awsome.

Are you upgrading yours or having issues with the old one?

Here is a link to a replacement guage http://www.pinzgauer.com/showdetails.ph ... no=SAV1400
For $30 it's worth the cost to keep a spare
