Bushings for carb shaft play

Post by milesdzyn »

I need to re-bush my carbs and can't find any info on the proper size bushings to use. Anyone done this before and have a size and source for them.

The process seems straight forward and I have all the tools needed for the job.

Miles, there is an oversize steel shaft available. My old shaft was brass and had visible wear. I used the oversize shaft and it took care of the slop. Apparently there is a throttle base version that was machined to accept seals. I think Denis at Linden Engineering was also machining bases to accept seals.

It really helped with the gas leakage and being able to sync the carbs up.

Here's the post I made about it with pics:

Hope that helps.

carb bushings

Take your carbs apart and take the bases to any carb rebuilder and they should be able to rebush them for about $50.00 ea. :D
