for my 2 cents...
Scotts' bumper it 1/4" steel formed into a FULL BOX design.
Work the numbers it is very strong!

I have one on my 712, but no winch, I just wanted some frontal protection!

I also have Scotts' steps, very well built and strong.

My experience with Scott is that he works hard to give top quality.

I modified one of those brush guards to accept the face mounted warn winch for Vinny. came out decent. good blend between both designs. Ill try to post a pic. (fairly unsavy at posting pics)

Hi Guys,

None of the bumpers pictured are the EI winch bumper, although our offering has been linked on the site.

Our bumpers primary purpose is protection of the front end of the pinz, especially out at the corners. In order to get that strength out at the ends we use a 3"x5" square tube.

The bumper came as a result of one of our own accidents. An employee was following me home from the port in a 712K. I stopped in front of him at a stop light and he did not realize it until too late. At the last minute he jerked to the left and the 712K came in contact with the left rear corner of my truck at about 35 MPH. It caved the entire front end and had their been a passenger it would have crushed their legs if not worse. We took a design from our fabricator (Butch Lewis, RIP) and modified it for the Pinzgauer.

The bumper weighs in at about 94 Lbs. Heavy, Yes. Strong, Yes. We have about 45 of the bumpers out in the Pinz community. We have had three cases where the bumper took substantial hits with zero problems.

There are a number of viable bumper options within the community. My opinion is simple.....ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THE STOCK BUMPERETTES.

Cheers,

Scott
