I need help with a wiring problem (rear lights related)

A few months ago, I purchased a set of later model TD rear lights. The owner assured me that their installation would be a piece of cake. It can't be that tough but I am having trouble figuing out how to properly wire them up. :?

I had thought that I would just figure out which wire had power when either the turn indicator, marking light or brakes were actuated but that doesn't seem to be working. Also, there seem to be different color wires on the left and right side of the truck.

As this is not a common issue for most Pinz owners, it probably warrants an email, PM exchange or a phone call.

I hope that I'm simply out-thinking this and the solution is so easy that I'll be embarrassed  when one of you electrical/wiring gurus weighs in. Your assistance would really be appreciated.

Thanks!

Texas,

This was posted under pricey headlights when I asked a question about taillights. Maybe it can help.

If a wiring schematic would help and you don't have one, I have one here: http://www.milkrunfarm.com/sitebuilderc ... iclgnd.pdf

Do a search, I gave exact instructions a few months back
It is a waste of time space to repost when the info is already there
It is also on Jeurgens site

Paul, Jim & Erik,

Thanks for the posts. Dave Dunn also contacted me and we're going to walk thought this process on Friday. Little did I know that the wiring was apparently different between Swiss and Austrian delivered Pinzs...I had hoped for a VERY (AKA idiot proof) installation but I guess that's not to be.

Jim - I didn't think this was a common issue so I didn't bother to check past postings. I will not make that mistage again!

Thanks,

David
